website (www.note-ables.org) is currently being updated to better reflect our

although we do weekly twitter feeds and keep our website updated with current

Organization Information
Mission: The
Note-Ables is a nonprofit organization that provides music programs and music
therapy services throughout northern Nevada. We bring the joy of music to more
than 300 children and adults with disabilities per year. Programs include music
and dance classes, 1:1 lessons and music therapy, and a professional band of
adults with disabilities.

Needs: Our primary need at this time is to recruit new Board
and Advisory Board members. In addition, we have the following volunteer
opportunities: Class volunteers (music and dance classes); Instructors for
individual lessons (guitar, voice, piano, etc.); Office volunteers;

have at least one large community concert per year that requires 40-50
volunteers. It is perfect for groups.

and youth are welcome to help with our youth classes, our monthly family music
group, and our summer Teen Beat music camp. Adults and seniors are welcome to

Board of Directors develops the fundraising plan for each fiscal year. The
Board sets goals and measurable outcomes, and the fundraising committee
determines the strategies to meet each goal. The staff then works with Board
and volunteers to implement

have an extensive wish list that includes smaller items such as office and art
supplies, instruments, sound equipment, and office furniture. We are also
actively searching for a new "home" for our organization, as we have
outgrown our current space. This is a primary focus for the coming year.
