Volunteer Needs: A JA volunteer goes into a K-12 classroom and teaches a fun, hand's on curriculum based on financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship.  A new volunteer is trained by JA staff.  Elementary JA classes have 5 sessions, middle school 6 sessions, and high school 7 sessions.  Each session is 30-45 minutes long.  The volunteers' schedule is set up by the volunteer and the classroom teacher.  The classroom teacher is in the room the entire time.  The volunteer is there to administer the JA curriculum and share their personal experiences.

A JA Board of Director meets 10-11 times a year the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. at the JA office.  They are positive ambassadors for JA that shares the passion of youth, financial literacy, and business.  Board members are encouraged to bring in funding and volunteering opportunities.
