Organization Information

Mission: Artown, recipient of several National Endowment for the Arts grant awards, brings the arts to Reno each July with a packed calendar of events.  Artown features more than 400 events, from over 100 presenters designed to inspire, and yes, to impress the 350,000 people that experience our festival annually.

Volunteering

Seeking Board Members? Yes

Volunteer Needs: Be a part of your favorite festival by volunteering for Artown. Most volunteer activities take place at Wingfield Park and Robert Z. Hawkins Amphitheater during July and include a variety of tasks such as taking tickets, providing festival information, helping with seating, aiding performers and more. With more than 300,000 expected to attend this year’s event, volunteers are a crucial aspect to the non-profit festival’s success. Comment: Artown seeks volunteers throughout the year to assist with needs in its office and for the festival in July.  Volunteers can assist with everything from answering phones to delivering flyers and posters to project assistance.
